As Senior Vice President of Business Development of Experian Simmons, Gary is responsible for the sales of Simmons products and services. The focus of the organization is to leverage Simmons assets along with Experian data assets and targeting tools to deliver unique consumer research solutions to the agency, media and advertiser community.
With over 20 years of corporate marketing, sales agency and market research experience, Mr. Warech joined Experian Simmons in October 2001 where he has served a variety of leadership roles leading to his most recent appointment. As Managing Vice President, he was responsible for sales and marketing of Simmons nationally syndicated research products and services, custom research solutions as well as the company’s data integration capabilities.
Prior to joining Simmons, Mr. Warech was Vice President of Harris Interactive, in charge of sales and new business development with a particular focus on the Sports and Entertainment Research Practice, a corporate division he created and managed. Mr. Warech also negotiated and managed Harris Interactive's Olympic Sponsorship as well as developed third party strategic alliances to increase Harris Interactive's online research database.
Prior to joining Harris Interactive in 1998, Mr. Warech spent four years as Vice President, Client Development, Host Communications Inc. (HCI), the nation's largest collegiate sales and marketing company representing the NCAA and other collegiate properties. While at HCI, Mr. Warech was responsible for corporate sales, development and execution of integrated corporate marketing programs, linking traditional and non-traditional promotional marketing programs with all disciplines of media.
From 1986-1994, Mr. Warech served as Director of Sports marketing for the Woolworth family athletic retail divisions - Foot Locker, Lady Foot Locker and Champs Sports - responsible for the management of brand image and advertising programs, development of event marketing strategies and tactics, execution of community-based cause marketing programs and the launch of new brands.
In addition, Mr. Warech is an adjunct professor of sports and entertainment marketing research at New York University and was an adjunct professor of sports marketing and public relations at Adelphi University. He is also a frequent guest lecturer at New York University. He received his B.S. from New York University.
